Meet Your Coach

Meet Your Coach...

Dr Jenny Connor is a life, health and well-being coach who partners with people who are seeking to feel happier and healthier, and who are ready to start making better lifestyle choices.

Challenges at Home or Work

Jenny helps people facing life or work challenges such as burnout, loss of direction, career choice, career development, moving home or location, relationship challenges, in fact facing any change or challenge. We often underestimate the stresses that life changes bring for us and we are not always aware of how these stresses affect our behaviours and limit our possibilities.

Jenny works with clients to help them to choose new life habits that empower them to enjoy a happier and healthier lifestyle aligned with their true beliefs.

Health Challenges

For clients who wish to improve nutritional health and wellbeing, perhaps to lose weight or overcome a health condition, or simply to feel fitter and more energetic, Jenny will support them to transition towards Whole Food Plant Based eating.

The food we eat is central to how we feel and fundamentally important to our long term health and longevity.

The old adage of "We are what we Eat" is 100% true.

Transitioning towards a Whole Food Plant-Based diet can unlock the doors to better mood, better sleep, better concentration, better relationships, increased energy, improved weight control, and better control or reversal of chronic illness. The science is very clear.

Whatever we try to do around our exercise, our mental and emotional wellbeing, our social connections, if we don't eat the right foods for our bodies and minds to thrive rather than survive, we will always only get a temporary fix, that is quickly unraveled when we stop doing the 'thing', be that a weight loss programme or going to the gym.

Changing to a Whole Food Plant Based diet may be motivated by the desire to overcome personal health challenges, to make a contribution to ecological sustainability, or by concerns for animal welfare and wishing to follow a vegan lifestyle.

Jenny supports people through these changes to restore their good health and their optimism for the future.

The Power of Plants

Jenny experienced first hand the transformative Power of Plants, transitioning to vegan herself from 2016 for the animals, discovering as an unexpected bonus that she lost some excess weight and felt much healthier eating only plants. She subsequently discovered the impacts our food choices have on the environment and the survival of our species or its demise. Extensive research into the Power of Plants led Jenny to study and gain a Diploma in Vegan Nutrition, followed by a certificate in Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition Coaching, from the Food Revolution Network in North America, then further study into Root Cause Lifestyle Medicine and Organ Mind Brain Anatomy, joining all the dots of Health and Wellbeing.

With her previous career as a doctor, now vegan farmer, forager, whole food plant-based nutrition coach, and Lifestyle Medicine Coach, Jenny really understands Root Cause Lifestyle Medicine and the Power of Plants for Healing and Well-being. She knows how to get behind the reasons we are where we are now and to unlock the obstacles and barriers we have put in our own way that prevent us from already living our best life.

As someone who has been that staff member who is under pressure at work and at home, too busy to eat the right food, grabbing snacks at the desk, or cakes, biscuits, chocolates and sweets brought in by colleagues to share, eating without really noticing, eating to relieve stress, eating for comfort, caught in that addictive loop of craving and reward, no time to exercise properly, gaining weight, paying no attention to her wellbeing, and ignoring her physical health, work and stress eating up her home life, trying her best but ultimately burning out, Jenny understands first hand the challenges many of us face every day. And she has come through all that feeling happier and healthier than ever by changing habits, especially around eating and thinking. She wishes she had known sooner the secrets to how to live a happier and healthier life, and she is passionate about sharing that positive experience and learning to help others.

Experience

Jenny has helped a number of people to make a successful journey to wellness and improved physical health, by embracing the journey to a whole food plant-based diet with all the joyful flavours and discoveries that brings. At the same time, helping to restore hope, and to resolve many rather challenging health issues, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, overweight and arthritis.

She has supported people facing other work or life challenges such as burnout, loss of direction, career choice, career development, relationships, communications, and moving home, for example.

She can support you through any challenge or change, helping to uncover and explore limiting beliefs and underlying traumas, overcoming barriers to progress, and forming new helpful and empowering habits

If you have a challenge that you don’t want to face alone, Jenny can be there to support you along the journey to your desired outcome.
